Proflax Liver Love

Ideal for all breed of dogs who require a thorough liver cleanse.  Can be used in rotation with Proflax Tummy Tastic to support the health of the liver gut and skin.

Not recommended for pregnant/nursing dogs and puppies under the age of 8 weeks old. Not to be used if your dog is known to be allergic/reactive to any of the ingredients listed or if your dog is taking blood thinning medication (anticoagulants)/blood modulators or has gallstones. Stop feeding 5 days prior to anaesthetic. We suggest that you check with your own vet first if your dog is taking any medications as herbs can sometimes affect their absorption.

Your dog's liver has a lot to cope with. It has to cleanse toxins from a chemical, mineral or ingestible source. Briefly explained these toxins come from our everyday environment; household cleaning products, pesticides, chemical flea treatments, medication, vaccinations, anaesthetic, commercial pet food additives, poor quality water or harmful foods that our babies get their paws on such as chocolate!

The liver is susceptible to damage because of its central role in detoxification of the body and over time an excess of toxins can build up. To maintain the health of your dogs liver, it is advisable to give it a thorough cleanse every 6-12 months, or as necessary, which can be after anaesthetic, vaccinations, ongoing medication or if your dog is elderly.

Milk Thistle:  An adaptogenic cleansing herb with powerful anti-oxidant properties. Supports cell regeneration and optimal function of the liver. Aids metabolism. Supports a healthy nervous system and brain. Provides calcium, magnesium, potassium, folate and vitamin A. 

Dandelion: Supports optimal detoxification of the liver and kidneys. A powerhouse herb with the richest source of -carotene, from which vitamin A is created. It is especially rich in fibre, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, B & C vitamins (especially thiamine and riboflavin).
