Closure of our Burley Store
Change is the only thing that’s constant. Change can be scary but new growth comes from change. With that said, sadly from W/C 30th January our little Burley shop will be closing. The last open day at this shop will be 28th January 9-4pm.
There’s been a lot of change since 2020… We’ve all experienced COVID and how that reshaped the world! We closed the store during the first announcement of lockdown, back in March 2020. I remember being filled with dread, we had just moved into our Bingley store, knowing we had just taken on a 10 year contract in the new place but entering into the unknown. I wanted to protect the business, as well as our team so we decided to close so we could remain doing home deliveries.
Would you believe that the vast majority of our customers at our Burley store didn’t even realise we offered home deliveries as a standard! Well of course we looked after everyone delivering 5 days a week, it was all hands to the deck, my Mum and Dad did some deliveries for me.
We’d always offered deliveries so it was a natural progression to just offer this until we learnt more. I think we opened later in August 2020, and continued to support the local community with home deliveries. I believe today, this is still the case for so many people. The ease and convenience of home deliveries via our vans wins hands down.
Later on, you’ve explored our new Bingley store, holding over 8500 products in the most part in the quantities you want too. So between the new store and home deliveries most people have chosen a different way to shop with us.
Sadly we temporarily closed the store again late June last year. For those who don’t know, my dad was rushed to hospital, he had several sets of surgery, but sadly he passed away in July 2020. The store remained closed until September, when we decided it was time to reopen.
I know it’s not been the same, he always had a tale to tell, and of course, had a memory like an elephant, for all the little details you used to share with him, and he could relay it even months later. He was so passionate, and loved what we did, so much so we deliberated on whether to send his Stefs Pet Pantry uniform with him. We all miss him so much.
So as you can see, there's been a lot of change since 2020… and for the most you’ve swapped to shopping online for home delivery or shopping in our Bingley store. The Burley store was ticking over with mostly top up betweens deliveries or collections.
We have lots of exciting plans this year and we hope a change in resources will help us achieve this and continue to deliver an excellent customer experience. Many hands make light work, and if we work together at our Bingley store we can achieve this.

Monday-Friday 9am - 5:30pm Saturday 9am - 4pm
Our deliveries are Tuesday to Friday in local areas. We are actually fine tuning the details for local deliveries on a Monday too, this should be a same day delivery option if ordered before 11am on Monday (normal cut off’s apply for the rest of the week). Remember you are in complete control of the delivery date at the checkout, we will send you a 1 hour time slot the night before and a liver tracker on the day of delivery for those who haven’t experienced our delivery service.
